Recipe For Thai Inspired Stir Fry

I love stir fry’s and if ever I want a quick meal, and don’t feel like cooking I head out to Simply Asia for a not so simple wok cooked meal. This wok cooked meal can be cooked just as quickly in your own home. Take the time to cut your own vegetables and enjoy your own Thai Inspired Stir Fry!

Thai Inspired Sirloin Stir Fry
 
Ingredients
  • 250g sirloin steak, trimmed and sliced
  • 5mls cornflour
  • 5mls sambal oelek
  • 15mls soy sauce
  • 15mls lemon infused olive oil
  • zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 1 red pepper sliced
  • 6 mushrooms sliced
  • 1 corn on the cob, kernels only
  • 15mls peanut oil
  • 1 handful fresh coriander roughly chopped
Method
  1. rub the cornflour into the steak
  2. add the sambal oelek, soy sauce, olive oil and the zest of the lime and leave to marinade
  3. heat the peanut oil in the wok
  4. when hot seal the sirloin and set aside
  5. add the vegetables and 1 tablespoon water to the wok
  6. just before the vegetables are done add the steak and the marinade and the lime juice
  7. serve with the coriander to garnish
