Tandy has taken part in numerous community challenges and competitions including most of the challenges hosted by yuppiechef, an online kitchen tool company. Tandy has also participated in Presto Pasta Nights, The Secret Recipe Club, Meeta’s Monthly Mingle, Fresh From The Oven, I Made It, Daring Cooks and Daring Bakers. She has been interviewed by Jeanne Horak-Druiff of Cook Sister! and by Taste Magazine. She was mentioned on the radio by Simon Gear in his green minute. Tandy contributed to food blogging 101 on the Good Housekeeping website as well as to Dining Out In The Helderberg Basin for Edgars Club Magazine. Tandy’s recipes were published on various platforms before she started blogging. Her recipe for duck egg ravioli was showcased in the Taste Magazine (November 2011) and her Chocolate Stout Cake was in the December 2013 edition. She also wrote a series of recipes for Woolworths South Africa for their chopping board chit chat as well as providing content for Strandveld Wines.
Her recipe for chocolate pasta has been featured in the The Huffington Post as well as Fitness, an on-line magazine. Her recipe for apricot ice cream was published in the UK in 101 Sugar-Free Recipes. In 2015 Tandy worked with Avalanche Potatoes as well as Ryvita to name a few brands.
In April 2011 Tandy won the DSTV competition to cook with Jonathan Daddia at the Good Food and Wine Show. She has also cooked with Anthony Worrall-Thompson, Brian Turner, James Martin, Alvin Quah and Giorgio Locatelli in hands-on workshops.
In 2012 and 2013 Tandy was selected as a top 10 finalist in the Eat In Best Local Food Blog Awards. In 2013 and 2014 she was a finalist in Fair Lady’s Best Food Blogger. Tandy has competed in various blogging competitions including Project Food Blog and Freshly Blogged.
Currently, Tandy is working with Weltevrede Wine Estate to create recipes for them.
