International Scone Week 2019

Each year I debate with myself whether to carry on the tradition of scone making? And this year the decision seemed to have been made for me when I came across not one, but two scone recipes. So, it is time for International Scone Week 2019.

Cheddar Veg Scones
A long standing tradition

In 2011 bloggers around the world gathered to make scones. If you want to know more about how this came about, read Celia’s post. How I would love to sit around the table with Celia and share some of her amazing bread. Celia and I have a connection through our sourdough baking. And whereas my starter is languishing in my fridge, Celia bakes all the time. She makes the most amazing breads and if you are not a fan of bread baking but want to know more about saving our planet, be sure to follow her blog.

International Scone Week 2019

Bloggers around the world are invited to take part in #ISW2019. There are a few things you need to do in order to be featured in the link up.

  • Create and blog a scone recipe and post it anytime from the 5th to the 11th of August.
  • Link back to this post in your blog post.
  • Use the hashtag #ISW2019 in your social media

Everyone will be featured for the year in the sidebar of my blog. If you are in need of inspiration then take a look to see what was baked last year. The 2018 recipes will stay up until the 12th of August.

I am heading to East London tomorrow and will be on the road all day. We are going away for motor racing and will have limited access to the internet while I am gone. Please forgive me if I don’t reply to comments straight away. I will be back at work on the 5th of August for a couple of hours before I start a week-long celebration of my 50th birthday.
