The President Is Missing, Bill Clinton

The President Is Missing opening line: The House Select Committee will come to order …”

My blurb:

The Gang of Eight have been given a code phrase for the worst possible attack America can face. President Duncan has been made aware of the attack, which day it will happen and what the consequences will be. And then his daughter calls him from Paris and mentions two words, the phrase no-one else should know. Jon has a traitor in his midst and now he has to disappear. Is this to save the country, or himself?

The President Is Missing
The thriller only a president could write.
There are things only a president can know. There are things only a president can do. And there are times when the only option is unthinkable…
The President is Missing. The world is in shock.
But the reason he’s missing is much worse than anyone can imagine.
With details only a President could know, and the kind of suspense only James Patterson can deliver.
My verdict:

This story is so real that I wonder if it really happened? We are so reliant on modern technology and if that were to come to an end, so would the world. This book deals with the threat of cyber security and whether Governments should negotiate with terrorists. A well written, suspenseful novel that will have you guessing right to the end.

  • I love these kinds of stories! I'm currently reading a book called Finding Gobi about a man who comes across a dog while running a marathon in the Gobi desert.

  • I've been wondering what this book was like. I haven't read any Patterson, even though he's HUGE in the US - or maybe because he is. I usually prefer British mysteries, but having clinton as a co-writer spiked my interest. I kind of wish the current president would go missing though ...

    • This is really a good book. Dave is not a fan of James Patterson either. And I agree with you on the last sentiment ...
