Creamy Chicken Pasta


  • 150 g pasta
  • 10 g butter
  • 5 mls olive oil
  • 170 g asparagus trimmed and cut into chunks
  • 2 chicken fillets thinly sliced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to season
  • 125 mls cream
  • Zest and juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • Small handful of chives chopped


  • Bring a pot of water to the boil for your pasta
  • While your pasta is cooking, heat the butter and oil in a large frying pan
  • Sauté the asparagus for 5 minutes and then add the chicken
  • Season and leave to brown before adding the cream and the lemon zest and juice
  • Leave to simmer for 5 minutes
  • Adjust the seasoning and add the pasta
  • Toss to coat the pasta with the sauce and then remove from the heat
  • Stir in the chives and serve
