Regional And Seasonal Challenge: Citrus Fruit
Do you know where your food comes from, and do you care? Seems like there are a lot of people finally acknowledging that we should be eating food grown locally, and that which is in season. I have been promoting this challenge for quite some time now, as I am fully behind local farmers and home grown produce. I love it when citrus fruit comes into season, especially limes!
This week the challenge is to cook using any citrus fruit
Remember, if you take part in the challenge, please link back to my blog, and leave a comment here for me so that I can include you in the round up! This week, the person who uses the same fruit as I do will ‘earn’ themselves an apron! This is open to bloggers anywhere. If more than one person uses the same citrus fruit, a random draw will be done.
PREVIOUS CHALLENGE ROUND UP
PinkPolkaDot has contributed a spicy butternut and orange soup – this would qualify for two recent challenges!
The winner of the iced cake and flowers is The Only Cin for her regular and original contributions to the challenges.
It will be interesting to see the recipes of those who participate in the challenge. I’m looking forward to it. I hope you have a great day. Blessings…Mary
thank you Mary, I am looking forward to the recipes as well 🙂
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!! I didn’t dare dream I’d win 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you 😀

And perfect timing too, Chelsea’s 13th birthday coming up … all sorted with your Mum 🙂
fantastic Cindy 🙂
I care very much where what I eat comes from and am very lucky to be able to grow a lot and to eat local (i.e. it walks by my front door twice daily or pecks around in my olive grove :)) goat, lamb and chicken! Am feeling inspired to take up the challenge using some local oranges which I put in so much of my cooking here…
you are lucky indeed 🙂
Mine’s going up in a few minutes but Cindy beat me to the ClemenGolds 🙂 What else would I use hmmmm?? xxx
so glad to see you are taking part in the challenge! Seems that great minds think alike 🙂

and it looks fantastic 🙂
Hi Tandy,
I’m not sure if I used enough citrus in this recipe to qualify. It’s a chocolate zucchini bread (I used fresh lemon juice and lemon zest in it)
