I have the most amazing chilli bush in my garden. It has provided us with an abundance of chillies every year since we moved into our house in 2005. I have made the most amazing oil using the fruit from this bush as well as some of the chillies we bought back with us from Calabria. It is seriously hot so I use it in moderation as my palate cannot take too much heat. Dave is far braver than I am so I leave the bottle close to hand so he can add more heat to his food if he wishes to. I have successfully grown a new bush from using the seeds and that was gifted to my step son.
Foodie trends have seen chillies being used in savoury dishes together with chocolate but I am not a fan at all. Do you like the combination? Would this be the savoury dish you make for the challenge? I like to make condiments from scratch so I think that is the direction I will take.
