Grapes For The Regional and Seasonal Challenge
Can you use grapes in a creative way? They are in season right now and the challenge this week is to create a dish using them as one of the ingredients. If you take part in the challenge, please link back to my blog, and let me know in the comments so that I can include you in the round up.
Eating grapes
I am the fussiest grape eater I know. First , I prefer black grapes. I will eat red grapes as my second choice. And green ones at a push. Regardless, they must be seedless. I will try any new varietal as they hit the shelves. And in 2011, sable was one of the newest I had seen in a long time. I was commissioned by Woolworths South Africa to create recipes using this varietal as part of their promotion and launch of this into their stores. My favourite grape of all time is a catawba, which we grew at home when we were children. I have so many happy memories of popping the berries into my mouth, straight off the vine. And yes, if you didn’t know it, they are called berries.
Will do 🙂
