In Too Deep opening lines: The pain hit first, then the sound followed, the way lightning beats thunder in a storm. The pain was in Jack Reacher’s right wrist.
My blurb:
This time, Reacher has no idea how he got into the middle of trouble. But he is slap bang, right there. With no clue why, and no clue how. He has to use all his analytical abilities to work out who is who. And who is being played, and why. Of course, this is made much easier with a Detective on his side. And, he always has a good source somewhere to help him get where he needs to be.
In Too Deep
Reacher had no idea where he was. No idea how he had got there. But someone must have brought him. And shackled him. And whoever had done those things was going to rue the day. That was for damn sure.Jack Reacher wakes up, alone, in the dark, handcuffed to a makeshift bed. His right arm has suffered some major damage. His few possessions are gone. He has no memory of getting there. The last thing Reacher can recall is the car he hitched a ride in getting run off the road. The driver was killed. His captors assume Reacher was the driver’s accomplice and patch up his wounds as they plan to make him talk.A plan that will backfire spectacularly . . .
My verdict:
I am a huge Jack Reacher fan, and have loved each and every one of the books in this series. Lee Child and his brother Andrew, have woven together another great novel. One of the good things about the books in the Reacher Series, is that you do not have to read them in sequence, nor do you need to have read any of them. However, I can guarantee, once you start, you will not stop!
About the Author:
Lee Child is the author of more than two dozen New York Times bestselling Jack Reacher thrillers, with most having reached the #1 position, and the #1 bestselling complete Jack Reacher story collection, No Middle Name. Foreign rights in the Reacher series have sold in one hundred territories. A native of England and a former television director, Lee Child lives in New York City and Wyoming.
