Prodigal Son Evan Smoak 6, Gregg Hurwitz

Prodigal Son Evan Smoak 6 opening line: A stir moves through the Pride House Group Home, and seconds later adolescent faces pig against the muggy front window.

Prodigal Son

My blurb:

Evan Smoak has reached a deal with the President of the United States. He will cease and desist, and she will keep him out of prison. But now he has to risk it all to save his brother. Growing up an orphan, Orphan X never knew his mother. But now she has appeared in his life. And for no reason other than to have him save her son.

Prodigal Son Evan Smoak 6
As a boy, Evan Smoak was pulled out of a foster home and trained off-the-books as a government assassin, codenamed Orphan X.
Forced into retirement, Evan Smoak gets an urgent request from someone he never expected – his mother. She needs his help protecting Andrew Duran, a man in the wrong place at the wrong time, with no safe place to hide. Running from a brutal assassination team, Duran’s only hope lies with Evan.
But when a hidden cabal catches on to what Evan is doing, everything he’s fought for is on the line – including his own life.
My verdict:

Since the first book, I have been hooked, and the latest Gregg Hurwitz book does not disappoint. A great read leaving me waiting with baited breath for the next installment.
