What I liked:
I have a lot of Jamie Oliver recipe books, and each one so far has impressed me. This one is the same. I liked the fact Jamie offers up alternatives. It means you can swap out ingredients without having to think of how to do so. Great for cooks who are not that confident in the kitchen. The recipes have a quick description of the main supporting ingredients, much like a restaurant menu. This helped me decide which ones I liked the most.
What I made:
In preparation for next year’s International Scone Week, I made the Courgette & Feta Scones and they were delicious! I also made the Greens Mac ‘N’ Cheese which was worth the effort. The sauce took a lot longer to thicken than the recipe book says. We ended up getting three meals from the recipe which I shall share with you next month.
Publishing information:
Penguin Random House South Africa sent me this recipe book to review.
I am back at work today after our trip to England. If you are interested in what we did, you can take a look at our holiday blog.

I ordered this book recently – but haven’t had a chance to sit down and read it! I am looking forward to it though – I really love his recipes, and some of the ones you listed sound very tempting!
I will be interested to see which ones you select 🙂
Terence likes Jamie Oliver recipe books, Tandy. Thanks for this review.
I also enjoy all his books 🙂
Jamie Oliver has often been in the news. Despite all this publicity I’ve never seen or used any of his cookbooks, or for that matter eaten in one of his restaurants. Maybe I should look at some of them next time I go to the library.

I enjoy his recipes as they all seem to work for me 🙂
The scones sound great! I’m a big dan of savoury scones. I am tempted to check out this cookbook now. Thanks Tandy! 😀
