I have been asked for a recipe for bacon and cheese bread for the bread maker. When using a bread maker it is important to add the ingredients as they are listed. This recipe is for a 750g loaf. I tend to use my bread maker more often in the winter than in the summer. It is such an easy way to make bread and really takes very little effort. This is also great for when you are having guests over for dinner and you don’t want to spend your day kneading and proving bread.
Bacon and Cheese Bread
Ingredients
- 310 mls water
- 40 mls oil
- 5 mls salt
- 30 mls sugar
- 750 mls bread flour
- 30 mls milk powder
- 2.5 mls paprika
- 6.25 mls yeast
- 60 mls bacon - cooked and well dried
- 180 mls cheddar cheese grated
Method
- add the above ingredients to the bread maker and when it is time to add 'nuts' add the bacon and the cheese.
Notes
I have a bread maker that automatically dispenses the nuts which makes bread making very easy.

sounds divine… might try it… but trying to avoid baking too much fresh bread… I end up devouring it…
I love freshly baked bread! Cannot resist a slice with butter 🙂
Don’t think my husband will eat this, but my daughter will love it.
I am going to give it a try for Sunday breakfast – should go down well with eggs!
Thank you SO much!! Going to make this today!!!
Now I need to read my manual to figure out how I know when to add the extra’s.
Really appreciate it!
🙂
it is my pleasure. let me know how it works out!
