Chase, James Patterson And Michael Ledwidge

Chase opening line: At the end of the dark, crowded bar, a man in black twirled an e-cigarette through his fingers and over his thumb like a little baton, again and again as he watched and waited.

My blurb:

Knowing that a short story could not possibly be the end of Detective Michael Bennett means you know he will survive. But what actually leads him into danger is a situation that could exist in real life.

Chase:
A man plunges to his death from the roof of a Manhattan hotel. It looks like a suicide – except the victim has someone else’s fingerprints and $10,000 in cash.
Enter Detective Michael Bennett.
My verdict:

I enjoy Michael Lewidge’s writing and made very short time of this James Patterson bookshot.
