One Minute Later opening line: The day started out so well.
My blurb:
Everything can change in a minute. Your heart can stop beating. You can fall in love. You can think the worst of someone. Or even the best. But in one minute, you can also change the lives of so many people.
One Minute Later
You think your life is perfect.
With a high-flying job, a beautiful apartment and friends whose lives are as happy as her own, Vivienne Shager is living the dream. Then, on the afternoon of Vivi’s twenty-seventh birthday, one catastrophic minute changes everything.
You think your secrets are safe.Forced to move back to the small seaside town where she grew up, Vivi remembers the reasons she left. The secrets, lies and questions that now must be answered before it’s too late. But the answers lie in thirty years in the past…
You think it’ll always be this way.Shelley Raynor’s family home, Deerwood Farm, has always been a special place until darkness strikes at its heart. When Vivi’s and Shelley’s worlds begin to entwine, it only takes a moment for the truth to unravel all of their lives.
My verdict:
Inspired by a true story and a real person, this book is about more than saving lives. It is about love, and finding it where and when you least expect to. Despite my own personal beliefs, this is an excellent read and one I can recommend to anyone. And if you are sitting on the fence about organ donation, this might just help you make up your mind.
