Private Tokyo, James Patterson

Private Tokyo opening lines: Muchen Wang had been set on fire in Somalia, evaded grenade attacks in Congo, and dodged bullets in Sudan, but he’d never faced tachycardic danger like this.

Private Tokyo

My blurb:

Jack Morgan has no idea what he is walking into when he arrives in Tokyo. And it soon becomes clear to him that what looks obvious is clearly not. There is the issue of a Chinese Spy, the local gangs, and corrupt police he has to deal with, as well as not knowing if he can trust the very man he put in charge of Private Tokyo. But what he does know is that he must solve the puzzles in front of him to ensure he will not be targeted in future by a band of killers.

Private Tokyo

One secret could destroy a city…

A covert operative is murdered on the streets of Tokyo, hunted down by a masked assassin and silenced before he can expose what he’s stolen.

With his final breath, he delivers a message that crosses continents: Get Jack Morgan.

Private detective Morgan arrives in Tokyo to find a city on edge.

As the investigation unleashes a chain of deadly events, it’s clear he’s stepped into something far bigger – and far more dangerous – than a single killing.

Could he be the next target?

My verdict:

Adam Handy makes books come alive with his descriptive narration of the surrounds. Co-authored with James Patterson, this novel is full of action. And, a nice twist at the end which always makes a book more enjoyable to read.

  1. Currently I am reading Harlan Coben who is also a very productive writer. Many of his novels have been adapted for film and netflix series. You might also enjoy too.

I would ♥ to hear from you (comments will be visible when I reply)
