The Night Fire, Michael Connelly

The Night Fire opening line: Bosch arrived late and had to park on a cemetery lane far from the grave site.

The Night Fire

My blurb:

Bosch has finally retired, well officially that is. But nothing can stop him from solving crimes. And he needs a way to stay in the game. Detective Ballard will be his way and as much as he can help her, she can help him. Bosch will always seek truth and justice, no matter which side of the court he is working for.

The Night Fire

SOME CRIMES LIGHT A FIRE THAT NEVER GOES OUT…

* * * * *
A JUDGE MURDERED IN A CITY PARK
Mickey Haller
, the Lincoln Lawyer, defends the man accused.
A HOMELESS PERSON BURNED ALIVE
Detective Renée Ballard
catches the case on the LAPD’s notorious graveyard shift.
AN UNSOLVED HOMICIDE FROM A LIFETIME AGO
Harry Bosch
is left a missing case file by his mentor who passed away. He was the man who taught Bosch that everybody counts, or nobody counts. Why did he keep the case all these years? To find the truth – or bury it?
IN L.A. CRIME NEVER SLEEPS
But in Ballard, Bosch and Haller: the fire always burns. Will it light the way – or leave their lives in ashes?

My verdict:

I had to read the inbetween books so I could make sense of how Detective Ballard fits in. Not that I minded as this is one of the authors whose books I collect. A good read and if you like crime solving and cold cases this one’s for you.

  1. Hi Tandy, please delete my other comment. I work on two computers and got distracted. I like the sound of this book although I seem to have less time for reading at the moment, hopefully that won’t be forever.

I would ♥ to hear from you (comments will be visible when I reply)
