The Texas Murders opening lines: Isabella hears the unmistakable vibration of a rattlesnake tail, freezing her in a cold chill.
My blurb:
Rory seems to want to complicate his life. As soon as he meets another woman, his ex Willow appears to want to come back into his life. But, he needs to look after his heart. And he also needs to look after his profession, which he loves more than anything. Being a Texas Ranger is everything to him. And he will uphold the values of the Rangers, even if it means butting heads with the FBI. Can Rory help solve cases involving both the FBI and the local Indian Authorities without alienating each group further?

My verdict:
There was the perfect twist in the tale to this novel, written by Andrew Bourelle in collaboration with James Patterson. It would help to read the previous book before embarking on this one, just to get a bit of the back story. But, if you don’t, this book will still be an enjoyable read.
