Billion Dollar Ransom opening lines: Elizabeth “Boo” Schraeder couldn’t help but smile as she settled the tab at her favourite Beverly Hills salon.
My blurb:
Everything has to go to plan! At the same time, in three different places, five people are going to be kidnapped. But, despite the kidnapper mastermind getting this correct, he did not work the human factor into his thought process. The children are well behaved, the father could care less about his eldest son, and then there is the FBI agent. Nicky Gordon thinks her plan will be better. And it has to be for everyone to come out of this unscathed.
Billion Dollar Ransom
It would take a perfect plan to collect a billion-dollar ransom. So here’s the plan.Five innocent people. In different locations. All kidnapped at the same moment in time. Two children taken from a private school bus. A film producer and a movie star grabbed at a hideaway resort. A beautiful wife whisked off the streets of Beverly Hills.A billionaire wants his family back. The cash, gold, jewels, crypto are all ready. There’s only one problem: Stubborn and brilliant FBI agent Nicky Gordon also has a plan. And she doesn’t want to pay the kidnappers. Not a dime.
My verdict:
Sitting on my desk are 8 books waiting to be reviewed. This was some of my reading pile that I worked my way through in December. So, when a book is memorable, it has to be good. And this one ticks both of those boxes. Billion Dollar Ransom is one of those novels you will add to your reading list, and be glad you did so. Co-authored by Duane Swierczynski, look out for this at your local bookstore.
