When we go away for racing in East London we choose to stay in Kidds Beach. The race track is 27 km away and this puts us on the right side of the circuit, in a really nice area. Last year I found Breeze Inn and it was like finding a home away from home. Teresa and Dave welcomed us into their home.
Breeze Inn
They have six rooms and this year we booked 4 of them for our team. All the rooms have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, DSTV and wi-fi. They are serviced each day and extra towels, pillows etc. are available on request. There is a communal guest kitchen in which we could prepare meals had we chosen to do so, and for making coffee and tea when we want it.
Becoming friends
Last year Dave made us welcome by offering a round of drinks at the pub when we arrived. This year we made sure to bring a few bottles of whisky for the pub and we sat around each evening enjoying time together. On the last night there Teresa organised salads and rolls and we made use of the braai facilities. Teresa and Dave joined us which made for a fantastic evening.
Breakfast
Served overlooking the sea, breakfast starts with a buffet selection, followed by a hot choice. Tea and coffee is also available, brought to the table. We have spotted whales in the sea and sightings of dolphins is not uncommon.
