Holmes Is Missing, James Patterson

Holmes Is Missing opening lines: It was 2 a.m. The posted speed limit on the Williamsburg Bridge into Manhattan was 35 miles per hour.

Holmes Is Missing

My blurb:

Margaret Marple is trying to hold everything together. Her priority is their business but she has to acknowledge that Brendan Holmes does not want to maintain their partnership. But she, and Auguste Poe need him, and the way he sees the world. Their case is intertwined with an international child kidnapping ring, and Helene, the love of Poe’s life. She has gone missing, and their focus is on finding her before it is too late.

Holmes Is Missing
It’s their toughest case yet. And their best detective is missing.
Holmes, Margaret and Poe’s Brooklyn-based detective agency solves the crimes no one else can. Or they did – until Holmes decided to leave the business.
There is no time to waste as the team are called to a fresh NYPD crime scene – and tasked with looking into the disappearance of six children.
Time is ticking as they work to unravel the mystery.
But they need Holmes.
If they’re going to solve the crime of the century, first they must save their friend.
My verdict:

To start, Holmes is not missing, and I found the book title to be a bit misleading. However, it was a well written novel by Brian Sitts, in collaboration with James Patterson. I suggest you read the first book to get the jist of what is happening in their personal lives.
