City Of The Dead opening lines: Four fifty-three in the morning was too early for anything. Alfie had said so to Donny back when it was four eighteen and they were still on the freeway.
My blurb:
Somethings just don’t make sense, and this is one of them. A naked man, hit by a moving truck, and no clothes anywhere in sight. Not even in the house, where a woman lies dead. Milo knows that he needs another perspective on this case and Alex Delaware is the perfect set of eyes. He manages to connect dots in ways no-one else seems to do. And with him, the impossible is always plausible.
City Of The Dead
At 5am in the upscale neighbourhood of Westwood Village, two removal men are making a routine pick-up when they make a fatal hit. It’s a man – who appeared from nowhere – naked and with no means of identification. Not long after, a woman is found dead in a house nearby, which neighbours suspect to be a brothel. Could the man have come from there? When LAPD homicide lieutenant Milo Sturgis calls brilliant psychologist Alex Delaware is called to the scene, the case gets even more complicated. Delaware has met the woman before. She’s a psychologist too.Are the two deaths linked? Or is there a darker force at work?
My verdict:
I am a huge fan of Jonathan Kellerman, and an even bigger fan of Milo Sturgis and Alex Delaware. This book came to quite a quick conclusion once the murder had been solved. Another great read from a great author.

Thanks for this review, Tandy. I’ve read a few of Jonathan Kellerman’s books and I know these two characters.
Will you add this to your list of books to read?
another author I’ve been wanting to read; glad you enjoyed this one…
You don’t need to start at the beginning which is good.
