My choice is always to use apple cider vinegar but you can use any flavoured vinegar to make this honey salad dressing.

I am extremely flexible which is due to a number of factors. The one is genetics which I have no control over. And the other is regular exercise and stretching. I have done some form of exercise since I was three and started ballet lessons. This was to correct an orthopaedic issue and I can admit to not being the most dainty ballet dancer anyone has ever seen. I moved on to modern dance and then yoga in my teens. And started weight training and cardio classes when I was in my last year of school. I have gone from training seven days a week to only four days now that I am in my fifties, but regardless I stretch every single day. This is because I have spinal issues and I need to keep myself limber.
Today’s inspirational recipe from Lavender and Lime ♥ Honey Salad Dressing ♥ #LavenderAndLime Share on X
Yesterday I bent down to get something out of a box that is sitting on the floor and I pulled my lower back. The first thing I did was gingerly make my way to my chair and sit down. And then I swallowed two anti-inflammatories. I applied heat to my lower back before heading out for my weekly walk. Anyone who knows me would have laughed to see me ambling along instead of bustling my way through the Mall. I applied an anti-inflammatory gel to my lower back as soon as I had purchased some. And then headed off for a massage. I took my trusty Traumeel with me, and Nadia added some wintergreen to the mix. After she pummeled me I did very little other than sit on the couch with a heated bean bag. Another two pills before bedtime and a good night’s sleep and my back felt 80 percent better this morning.

What do you do when you hurt your back?
I’m looking at that mielie thing next to the dressing.. 😉
My corn fritters….. I must have made them half a dozen times during lockdown to get the recipe perfect.
Tandy, I hope your back is back to normal. I admire your discipline to continue your exercise regiment trough your life. I try to remember to do my sitting (senior) stretching exercises when ever I have a day at the desk blogging. If I forget my body let’s me know the next day.
Great sounding summer salad dressing recipe. I’ve pinned it for our next summer season. Your corn fritters look mighty tasty.
Thanks Ron, I am back to normal. It is so important to stretch, especially if you are sitting at a desk all day 🙂
I also have issues with my back, Tandy, but mine is with my C4,5 and 6. I also stretch every day and some days it is better than other days. I hope you recover quickly. I like this recipe and seeing as my plan is for a cold Christmas lunch this year, I plan to use it.
I think a cold Christmas meal is a great idea. I am all better, thank you 🙂
I love simple dressing like this. Loved the addition of vinegar in it and the corn fritters look so tasty.
Thank you Rahul 🙂
A lovely salad dressing. I really like apple cider vinegar a lot. Beautiful fritters!
Thank you Mimi, apple cider vinegar is also my favourite 🙂
