Oven Dried Tomatoes | Simple To Make

We eat a lot of tomatoes, not just for their taste, but for health benefits as well. These oven dried tomatoes are simple to make and all you need is salt and pepper to season them.

Oven Dried Tomatoes

As much as I do not like being sick, I also do not like tablets. I usually self medicate. Sometimes this is successful and other times not. I take all sorts of naturopathic concoctions and hope for the best. I was not well a month ago, and managed to chase away the lurgies with my echinacea, vitamin C and the likes. Two trips back to gym and I got sick again. As we had a trip to George planned and then I travelled away from home, I could not stay sick. I know when I am about to get a sore throat, I crave tomatoes. It is the natural vitamin C that my body craves. Inspired by Chica Andaluza, I made these oven dried tomatoes to help keep the sore throat at bay. So far, that has worked. Now I just need to figure out how to turn the tap of the post nasal drip off!

You can see that my photography skills were sorely lacking in this blog post. It never occured to me when I started blogging I needed to pay more attention to this aspect of my recipes.

    1. I think the whisky is going to be my next stop! I have tried everything and am now on cortisone nasal spray! My pleasure for the shout out 🙂

  2. I am with chica on the honey, Anyone who gets a cold here has to drink gallons of honey water drinks. just honey and water, hot or cold, all day.. it is wonderful. 4. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. It sounds like you are doing everything to get better. Made sure to get enough rest…and the whisky doesn’t sound bad. Add lemon and honey to it and you will have a nice bit of medicine. Take care.

  5. Hope you are feeling better, but you are obviously well enough to make these great oven-dried tomatoes! I just started oven-roasting tomatoes so I guess this is the next step! Thanks!

  6. Roasted tomatoes are my favorite and they are so versatile! I hope they have helped boost your vitamin C and are feeling better! Love the tuna by the way too!!
