Steal opening line: Carter von Oehson mixed himself a tall gin and tonic from behind the polished mahogany bar of his father’s billiard room, topping it off with a squeeze of lime.
My blurb:
Mathias von Oehson has Dr. Reinhart over a barrel. Or so he thinks. But Dylan is able to see all the pieces of a puzzle that has made him the best in the game. And he is about to game the man who thinks he has it all worked out.
Steal
For Dr Dylan Reinhart, the stakes are sky high. When Carter von Oehson, a student in Reinhart’s psychology class, threatens to kill himself, everyone hopes it’s a hoax. But when Carter isn’t found after 24 hours, it seems the worst is confirmed. Did he really do it?Carter’s father, a powerful hedge fund CEO, is convinced he didn’t. He has his own secrets to hide and can’t go to the police. But there’s still someone he can turn to.Reinhart is now wrapped up in multi-million dollar secrets and danger and it’s going to take every bit of his expertise, and the help of NYPD Detective, Elizabeth Needham, to close the case. Can he stay ahead of his enemy… and his employer?
My verdict:
It took me a while to remember the main character of this book, Dylan Reinhart from a previous novel I had read over 2 years ago. Nonetheless, the book was a great read and a perfect stand alone novel.
