Where Is Peter Rabbit? Inspired By Beatrix Potter

For Hannah’s first birthday Dave and I bought her The World Of Peter Rabbit. This is a collection of the 23 original books by Beatrix Potter in a stunning gift box. Where Is Peter Rabbit serves as a great introduction to the characters featured in the iconic tales.

Where Is Peter Rabbit

Where Is Peter Rabbit?
Play a fun game of hide and seek with much-loved characters from the world of Beatrix Potter.
Is that Peter by the blackberry bush? Is he hiding in the lettuce patch? Lift the flap and see! With easy-to-lift flaps, rhyming text and charming illustrations, this Peter Rabbit story is fun to share with little ones. The perfect introduction to Beatrix Potter for very young readers.
More About The World Of Peter Rabbit
Each tale in the gift box is presented in its iconic white jacket and features a publisher’s note describing how the story came to be. The characters featured include naughty Peter Rabbit himself, tidy Mrs. Tittlemouse and unlucky Mr. Jeremy Fisher. These tales have charmed and enchanted children for generations and are essential for every nursery bookshelf. This is the main reason Hannah has the collection.
Beatrix Potter
Beatrix Potter was born in July 1866, and is regarded as one of the world’s best-loved children’s authors of all time. From her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, published by Frederick Warne in 1902, she went on to create a series of stories based around animal characters including Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, Benjamin Bunny, Jemima Puddle-duck, Mr. Jeremy Fisher and Tom Kitten. There is a museum in Hawkshead (Cumbria, England) that is dedicated to presenting original book illustrations by Beatrix Potter.
What I loved about the book:

To start with, the excellent quality stands out. When it comes to children’s’ books this to me is so important. Little hands are not very gentle with books and this one should withstand Hannah’s ‘reading’. She was not that enamoured when I revealed the characters but I am sure that is age related. And as soon as she can work the lift up flaps herself I am sure she will enjoy the novelty of the book.
