I bought Hannah her own popsicle maker for her birthday and the first flavour I made for her was granadilla ice lollies.

I am all for a bargain and try and buy things when they are on special. But I also don’t buy what I don’t need. At the beginning of the year we needed sheets and when I was at the store I saw the most beautiful duvet cover. I decided that if it was still there during the Black Friday sales I would get it. Sadly for me it wasn’t but I took that as a sign it was not meant to be. Over that same time period Inglot were having the most amazing specials. I started off buying two new palettes for my eye shadow. They were on a buy one get one free deal, and discounted! This absolute bargain meant I could have each eye shadow in its own container. It also meant I needed a blush to match each one.

I took 3 with me to the Mall and placed them into the front section of my trolley. Between placing them there and my second stop, they fell out. I suspect this happened when a security guard at the liquor store rummaged in my trolley. They just love to see what you are bringing in! I was so cross as even though the one lost was the oldest and most used, it had colours I often wear. And the waste of money irked me as I look after my things. I had to resolve myself to the fact and decided it was not worth replacing it as I think I have makeup to last the rest of my lifetime. I ended up getting the rest of what I needed on a buy 3 pay for 2 special which at least made that worthwhile. Do you buy things only when on special?

I like the recipe for these ice lollies, Tandy. I don’t often buy things in sales. I don’t often go to the shops or malls as I tend to shop on-line. I did buy towels and some linen that was in the Woolworths linen sale pre-Christmas but that was just lucky.
I was not that lucky when I bought towels. I love going to the shops to see what I am buying, but I don’t usually go during sales as the crowds and mess bother me.
First I thought I’d never heard of granadillas, so I googled the name. Indeed, I’ve even tried them – I am simply bad with names 🙂 They are delicious and perfect for refreshing popsicles!
They are very refreshing 🙂
What a cutie! i had never heard of granadilla so I looked it up and see it’s related to passion fruit. That I’ll be getting in Florida on vacation in a few week assuming none of us come down with Covid to prevent the trip.
I am holding thumbs and crossing fingers that you get to travel 🙂
I’ve never heard of this fruit! Can’t wait to find them!
Let me know if you do!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who never heard of granadilla — though I’m very fond of passion fruit which appears to be very similar. Unfortunately we don’t usually see passion fruit here in Michigan, not even passion fruit flavored foods. I think I would like your recipe.

I never realized how unique this fruit was 🙂
I hope the security guard apologized…
not a chance. When I went back he was off duty!
