Helpful Hannah Hippo opening line: The morning sunlight streamed down from a crisp, clear blue sky.
My blurb:
Hannah the Hippo and Ollie the Oxpecker set out to discover who a lost chick belongs to. Along the way they meet other birds and animals, including Red Dropwing, a dragonfly.
Helpful Hannah Hippo
“Does anyone know who this little chick belongs to?”Hannah sets out to help a friend who is lost and on the way learns about the world around her. She meets lots of different creatures while on a journey at the hippo pools.
My verdict:
A delightful book about being helpful, that will teach children about some of the animals and birds of the area. It is wonderfully illustrated and the prose flows smoothly enough for a young child to be able to follow along.
About the book:
This beautifully written and illustrated story by Dino Martins offers a glimpse on the value of friendship, kindness and compassion.
