The First Gentleman, James Patterson

The First Gentleman opening lines: Cole Wright is sitting in the rear seat of a black up-armored Chevy Suburban, one of three in a convoy speeding its way down Route 125 in the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire.

The First Gentleman

My blurb:

Cole Wright stands accused of murder and Brea Cooke is determined to see him found guilty. She is convinced he killed her partner, all because they were uncovering a long held secret. But, is the First Gentleman guilty, or has he been set up?

The First Gentleman
The President of the United States is up for re-election.
Her husband is on trial for murder.
Is the First Gentleman a killer?
A pair of brilliant investigative journalists set out to answer that burning question.
My verdict:

It is always weird reading a book when it contains names of people you know, or have heard of. In this novel, there are two names so familiar to me. And I had to seperate the Formula 1 race car driver from the character in this book. And not think of a therapist when reading the name of another person. That aside, I enjoyed the structure and flow of this story, even if I knew who the real killer was long before Brea worked it out.

    1. I have to confess, I cannot remember! I will have to go back and turn pages …. I read this book such a long time ago, and sometimes the names all just blur into one given how many books I read 😉
