Dinner Party Menu
This is my luxury dinner party menu used for my entry to round 3 of a blogging competition. Some of these dishes are frequent at our table. When considering a dinner party menu I always start with the main course. I then work the starter around that dish. And from there I decide on what to have for dessert.
Starter
For my luxury dinner party, crayfish seemed to be the logical choice. As it is rich, I decided to use this protein for the starter. Follow the link for the recipe for these Wholewheat Chilli Pancakes with Crayfish and Caviar
These were served on a bed of wild rocket and the crayfish was poached in lemongrass and coriander. This was all served with cream cheese and caviar.
Main course
Follow the link for the recipe for my main course, Roasted Pork Fillet with Madagascan Green Peppercorn Sauce.
I oven roasted a whole pork fillet and served it with a Brandy flambéd Madagascan green peppercorn sauce. All on a bed of butter mashed potato, glazed carrots and peas.
Dessert
Follow the link to my Marshmallow Mousse recipe.
Using pink marshmallows to make the mousse and a hint of Amarula to make it an adult dessert. Served with seasonal strawberries and meringue.
*has de-ja-vu feeling*
