Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie

Using some of my favourite ingredients I created a banana peanut butter smoothie. This was like a meal in a glass, and something I will make again for a quick lunch time treat.

My messaging App of choice is WhatsApp. I like it mainly because I can use it on my laptop when I am at work. And also because I can use the search feature to look for something specific in a message. There are many privacy settings one can use. But there is only a specific one that I have turned off, and that is my read receipts. I switched that off years ago as I was being harassed by someone on WhatsApp when I did not reply to their messages straight away. The downside however, is that I cannot see when people have read my messages. Usually this does not bother me, but when I send a message with the word urgent in it I would like to know it has been seen. Then the other day I realized there is a way.

I stumbled on this by pure chance. And I am sharing it here with you in case this is a feature you would like to use. If you delete a message that has not been read by the person, the option will be to delete it for you, or for everyone. But, if you delete a message that has been read by the person, then you can only delete it for yourself. And it will not show as a deleted message, it will just disappear on your side. What I also learnt was that someone had lied to me. This irks me no end as I would rather they replied saying ‘no’. That way I know exactly where I stand. And I can make another plan if possible. The end result of one particular conversation is that I will never trust that person again! Do you get read receipts?

Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie

You can add more honey if this is not sweet enough for you

  • 100 mls milk
  • 150 g peeled banana, thickly sliced
  • 50 g thick yoghurt
  • 20 g peanut butter
  • 10 g honey
  • 1.25 mls ground cinnamon


  • Place the milk, banana, yoghurt, peanut butter, honey and cinnamon into a blender or smoothie maker and blend until smooth
  • Adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more honey
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy

  1. HI Tandy, I did not know that you could get WhatsApp on your computer. I also did not know you could get a read receipt. I don’t use WhatsApp for business purposes, I try and keep my phone private.

  2. Just left the pediatricians office with my 8th month old and this looks like the exact recipe my doctor recommended for the baby! She’s all about smoothies and peanut butter for babies.

  3. Great smoothie! Honestly, I don’t understand how many people can have a fruit or veggie smoothie just in place of meal. I get hungry in 30 minutes once I’ve had it LOL. But peanut putter smoothie is one of the few exceptions. And with the addition of bananas, that is also super tasty!
