I was sitting drinking coffee one morning and decided I needed to make hot honey. I am not sure where that spark of an idea came from. But, I ran with it, and went straight to the kitchen and made some. I took a jar to a friend as a hostess gift. And then glazed carrots with some when we had a dinner party.

Living a full life
My Aunt Ros lived her life to the fullest, for as long as she could. She took many paths in the journey of her life, taking me with her by teaching me along the way. First there was crystal healing which led me to study aromatology and Bach flower remedies. She studied to become a reflexologist and shiatsu therapist and taught me about both disciplines. When she gave NLP courses, she took me along, and I have walked on live coals several times. And later in life, Ros decided to go and get her Degree in Higher Education. She taught University Students and one year when I went up to Johannesburg she took me along to a class she was giving. She was an amazing educator, and I know that the people she taught would have learnt a lot of life lessons along the way.
Saying what needs to be said
I never missed an opportunity to visit Ros and Vic (my Uncle) when I was in Johannesburg. And I enjoyed our walks on the beach when they came down to Gordons Bay. After my Uncle died, Ros decided to move down to be closer to her youngest children, and we would walk along the Muizenberg coast line and talk. The chats we had on these walks were just two adults talking about life. But the most important conversation we had was when I told her what needed to be said when I knew she was dying. In May she turned 70 and was full of life, but the end was drawing close, and on the 10th of October she passed away. Fly with the angels Ros, you will be missed.
